Just a little listing of the ships I have worked on, over the past decades. They have been my homes away from home, and I have the last 25+ years probably spent 15 years away (onboard) and 10 years home (ashore).
First one out, was the M/V Seabourn Pride, working for Seabourn Cruise Line.

Next one out was the M/V Seabourn Legend. A ship that was featuring in the not so successful movie Speed 2.

Then I was on the third sister, which was the M/V Seabourn Spirit.

After the Seabourn Spirit, I was rotated between those three sisters for the years to come, until I did a period on one of the bigger sisters…… the M/V Seabourn Odyssey.

Then the three small sisters were sold, and many of us, including myself, were transferred to P&O Australia, where I worked on an older and bigger ship, the M/V Pacific Jewel.

The finally, I joined a new company called Marella cruises, which actually was the old Thompson cruises. And I joined a gorgeous looking ship called the Marella Discovery 2.

There you go, my dear homes for the last 25+ years.
The best part? Working together with all those different nationalities. It is incredibly what you learn from other nationalities and cultures. It is a gift.
I consider myself lucky, despite all those years away from my family back home.
Happy sailing.
