Posted by Today’s picture is of myself and one of the ship’s deck hands, Mr. Ramon Cabugon. Ramon (from the Philippines) later on became the ship’s Bosun (Boatswain).
The reason why I always remember this picture, is because it is one of the first ones after I went over to a new type of work (from the Navy to Cruise industry), where I seriously can say I was far away from home.
You can see the picture is taken on the pier in Vanuatu. I believe this was in Port Vila. And it was around 1995-1996 I think, with the Seabourn Pride.
Again…….
You can see I am excited and proud, and my colleague more relaxed. I guess he had been there before. 🙂
And the voyage continued.
